You can actually ask Siri to reboot your iPhone if you have iOS 16 installed. Here’s how it works, and it’s mega convenient. No Need to Press Any Key Combination – Just Ask Siri to Reboot Your iPhone for You if You’re Running iOS 16
If you own any modern iPhones, you know that pressing and holding the power button doesn’t bring up the slide-to-unlock screen. Instead, you have to press several keys one after the other before you can do that. So we can do that by using Siri.
Thankfully, Apple lets you avoid that finger ninja stuff by going to Settings > General > Shut Down, after which you can simply slide to power down the iPhone. But, even this method is not convenient because both of them let you shut down your iPhone and not actually reboot it. If you want to reboot it, you have to shut it down and power it back again manually. Not exactly a reboot, but a shutdown followed by power on.
In iOS 16 for iPhone, you can actually reboot your iPhone by just asking Siri. The only thing you have to tap on is a ‘Yes’ button on display. Here’s how you do it.
Step to Follow
For this to work, you must have Siri enabled and working on your iPhone and obviously running iOS 16. If you don’t have Siri enabled, go to Settings > Siri & Search and enable Siri from here.
Once Siri has been enabled, simply press and hold the Home button or the Power button on your iPhone and then say ‘Reboot my iPhone.’ Siri will then ask if you want to restart this device – tap on Confirm or just say ‘yes.’ Your iPhone will reboot.
Rebooting your device actually ends up fixing a lot of problems that we may not even realize. Sometime if USB-Port is not working or Macbook Pro suddenly stopped working or occasional app crash or network related issue do not require you to run to service center. A quick reboot fixed that issue, and it was brand new again.
In other words, before you completely lose hope and decide to switch your ecosystem, try giving it a reboot, regardless of which device you have. Also, keep your operating system up to date at all times.
